This Week's IRS "Hall of Shame" Inductee: Leona Helmsley

For many out there, the name may not sound familiar. I guess that could be a generation thing. Anyways, Leona Helmsley was a billionaire NY City hotel operator and real estate investor. She was also known for being a bitch. Known as the "Queen of Mean," Helmsley was acused of claiming some $2.6 million worth of phony business expenses 1992. At her trial, one witness testified that Helmsley had boasted: "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes." In the end, she was found guilty of tax fraud and served 19 months in prison.

Cheers!
